ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION NOTICE

Application for a Permit under the provisions of the Environmental Management Act.

Canada Resurgence Developments Ltd, intend to submit this application to the Director to authorize the discharge of air emissions from an air curtain trench burner. The source of the waste is wood (bark, log ends, branches, leaves and needles) from log handling and processing.

The land upon which the facility will be situated and the discharge will occur is the Orenda Log Yard SUP S25310 located near Bowser Lake adjacent to Highway 37 North (Stewart–Cassiar Highway), 137 km North of Kitwanga, BC, and 80 km South of Stewart, BC (lat 56.0175, Long 129.1158).

The maximum rate of air emissions discharged from this facility is the volume of emissions produced from the burning of approximately 50 m3 per day in an air curtain burner. The operation of this facility will be 12 hours per day, 20 days per year between September 1 and March 30 of the following year. The characteristics of the woody debris to be burned consists of bark and trim ends that are accumulated during standard log handling and processing operations.
