Competition for the right to explore and develop Crown petroleum and natural gas resources. October 5, 2016.
Take notice that, under section 71 of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act, sealed bids will be received up to 12:00 noon, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 for the privilege of obtaining petroleum and natural gas rights.
Bids must be addressed to the Minister of Natural Gas Development, and submitted to the office of the Executive Director, Tenure and Geoscience Branch, Upstream Development Division, 6th Floor, 1810 Blanshard Street, Victoria, British Columbia, V8T 4J1. To determine accepted offers, a bid is evaluated against other bids received for the parcel, the geological potential of the parcel, and historical and current bidding trends. The Minister reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is determined that acceptance of the bid(s) would not be in the best interest of the Crown.

In order to be considered, a bid must be prepared and submitted consistent with the requirements specified in the Guide to Bidding and Disposition of Crown Petroleum and Natural Gas Rights. This includes the requirement to submit the $500 issuance fee and first year’s rent as indicated for each parcel in the Notice of Public Tender.
Parcels 66075 to 66099 inclusive are offered for tender on October 5, 2016. Details of the intended disposal containing full parcel descriptions, including the parcel type (Permit, Drilling Licence, Petroleum and Natural Gas Lease), parcel number, parcel area (in hectares), tract number, tract description, rights offered, conditional caveats, terms, fees, rent per hectare and other pertinent information are published in the Notice of Public Tender.
