BOUNDARY EXTENSION APPLICATION CITY OF PORT ALBERNI

Take Notice That under section 12 of the Local Government Act, the Council of the City of Port Alberni intends to petition the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing requesting the extension of the area of the municipality to include the lands described as Lot A, (DD EP41630) District Lot 152, Alberni District Plan 7451 Except Part in Plan VIP52692 and Lot A, District Lot 152, Alberni District, Plan VIP57061 (3376 and 3386 Johnston Road).

And Further Take Notice That the City of Port Alberni may proceed with the boundary extension request unless at least ten percent of eligible electors indicate that a referendum must be held by submitting a signed Elector Response Form to Port Alberni City Hall within 30 days of the publication of this notice in the BC Gazette. Elector Response Forms must be in the form established by the City of Port Alberni, and only those persons who qualify as electors of the City are entitled to sign Elector Response Forms.

And Further Take Notice That any resident or owner of land, within the area herein described, having objection to the inclusion of his/her property within the municipality should notify the municipality of his/her objections, if an objection has not previously been submitted, within 30 days of the publication of this notice in the BC Gazette.
