 Section 1 (1) definitions of "biology objective", "impact", and "protective purposes" were added by BC Reg 239/2021, effective September 1, 2022.

 Section 1 (1) definition of "applied biology limited licensee" was added by BC Reg 191/2022, effective October 1, 2022.

 Section 3 (g) was added by BC Reg 191/2022, effective October 1, 2022.

 Section 4 was enacted by BC Reg 239/2021, effective September 1, 2022.

 Section 4 BEFORE amended by BC Reg 191/2022, effective October 1, 2022.

Reserved practice

4   For the purposes of section 51 (1) (b) [reserved practice] of the Act, the practice of applied biology is a reserved practice that may only be carried out by or under the supervision of a registrant, if the practice relates to providing advice or another service for a biology objective that, having regard to the protective purposes, requires the experience or technical knowledge of a registered professional biologist or registered biology technologist.
