Commercial Vehicle Exemption Authorization Regulation

 Authorization

1  (1)  Subject to subsection (2), the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia is authorized to exempt commercial vehicles operated in British Columbia by bona fide farmers ordinarily resident in the Peace River region of the Province of Alberta from the registration and licensing requirements of section 6 of the Commercial Transport Act.

(2)  An exemption under subsection (1) must be made

(a) on the same terms and conditions, excepting geographic area, as set out in paragraphs 1 and 2 of order in council 253/60 dated February 5, 1960, and

(b) in respect only of a geographic area that is within the portion of the Province of Alberta lying north of the 17th base line and west of the 5th meridian.
