Citizens' Assembly Selection Lists Regulation

Definitions

1   The definitions in section 1 of the Election Act apply for the purposes of this regulation.

Use of personal information

2   Personal information

(a) as defined in the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and

(b) contained in the Provincial List of Voters

may be used for a purpose described in section 3 or 4.

Use of the Provincial List of Voters

3   The chief electoral officer may use the Provincial List of Voters to provide the chair of the Citizens' Assembly with one or more selection lists for use under section 4 by the chair of the Citizens' Assembly.

Use of a selection list

4   The chair of the Citizens' Assembly may identify and contact potential members of the Citizens' Assembly by using a selection list received under section 3 from the chief electoral officer.
