Demand Notice Regulation

 Statement in demand notice

1  A demand notice mailed under section 369 of the Local Government Act after the coming into force of this regulation shall contain the following statement containing a percentage calculated under section 2 of this regulation:

"Last year without Provincial government revenue sharing your general municipal taxes would have been increased

by..................% to provide similar levels of service."

 How to determine percentage

2  The percentage referred to in section 1 of this regulation is obtained by dividing the sum of the basic grant and unconditional grant made to the municipality under the Local Government Grants Act for the appropriate year by the general municipal tax levy for that year.
