9-1-1 Emergency Telephone Service

1   The Cowichan Valley Regional District is granted the additional power to provide E 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone Service as an extended service.

Beekeeping regulation and control

2   The Cowichan Valley Regional District is granted the additional power to regulate and control beekeeping as an extended service.

3   The Cowichan Valley Regional District is granted the additional power to provide transit as a local service.

4   The Cowichan Valley Regional District is granted the additional power to provide Economic Development Grants-in-Aid as an extended service.

5   The Cowichan Valley Regional District is granted the additional power of Health Regulation under section 523 (1) of the Local Government Act with respect to the control of smoking within all electoral areas and municipalities, as an extended service.
