Aldergrove Regional Park Regulation

Definitions

1   In this regulation:

"Act" means the Local Government Act;

"Aldergrove Regional Park" means the area shaded in green, identified as Aldergrove Regional Park, on the map titled "Aldergrove Park Showing Extraterritorial Area to be Added to Metro Vancouver Regional District Regional Parks Service" with map reference number RD 13-06, dated August 30, 2019, attached to this regulation;

"extraterritorial area" means the area outlined with a bold red line, identified as the Extraterritorial Area, on the map titled "Aldergrove Park Showing Extraterritorial Area to be Added to Metro Vancouver Regional District Regional Parks Service" with map reference number RD 13-06, dated August 30, 2019, attached to this regulation;

"Metro Vancouver bylaw" means the Greater Vancouver Regional District Regional Parks Service Conversion and Amendment Bylaw No. 1024, 2005;

"regional parks service" means the regional parks service established by the Metro Vancouver bylaw.

Approval for operation of regional parks service in extraterritorial area

2   (1) Subject to this section, approval is given to the board of the Metro Vancouver Regional District to establish and operate the regional parks service in the extraterritorial area.

(2) As a condition of the approval under subsection (1), the extraterritorial area must be included in the defined boundaries of the service area of the regional parks service.

Section 333 of the Act

3   (1) As an exception to section 333 (4) (a) of the Act, the extraterritorial area must not be identified as a separate participating area in the regional parks service.

(2) As a modification to section 333 (4) (b) and (c) in relation to the portion of Aldergrove Regional Park that is located in the City of Abbotsford, "the participating area" must be read as "the extraterritorial area".
