9-1-1 emergency telephone system

1   The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is granted the additional power to establish and operate a 9-1-1 emergency telephone system as an extended service.

Electrical power service

2   The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is granted the power to operate an electrical power service as a local service with all member municipalities participating as authorized under section 1 (5) of the Municipalities Enabling and Validating Amendment Act (No. 2), 1988¹.

Economic development grant-in-aid

3   The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is granted the additional power to provide an economic development grant-in-aid as an extended service.

4   The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is granted the additional power to provide Drainage Contribution as a local service.

5   The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is granted the additional power to provide, as a local service, electric power to Anarchist Mountain.

6   The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is granted the additional power to provide Transit Systems as a local service.
