1 (1) The Comox Valley Regional District, except that part within the area of the Islands Trust, is designated as an area for which a regional growth strategy must be developed and adopted.

2 The Comox Valley Regional District is granted the additional power to exercise the powers conferred on the council of a municipality under Division 12 of Part 3 of the Community Charter, except the powers conferred under sections 73 and 75, subject to the terms and conditions set out in that Division.
