Regulation of liquor

1   The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is granted the additional powers necessary to petition under section 249 of the Local Government Act for the purpose of having further powers conferred upon the Regional District under section 249 of the Local Government Act to establish and operate the extended service of regulating and prohibiting the possession of opened or unopened liquor in a public place as defined in section 1 of the Liquor Control and Licensing Act or on a highway.
