(b) a loan made by a life insurance company under a life insurance policy to the insured or his or her assignee solely on the security of the cash surrender value of the policy;

Access to statements by electronic means

19   For the purpose of section 92 (1) of the Act, a credit grantor may give a statement of account to a borrower by providing access to a copy of the statement by electronic means if

(a) when access is provided, the credit grantor provides the borrower with notice by electronic means that the statement is available, and

(b) the borrower consents in writing.

Deemed receipt of statement

20   A statement of account given in accordance with section 19 is deemed to be received on the 3rd day after access is provided.
