1 A person is entitled to receive the following fee for each day that the person is required to attend at a sitting or trial:
(a) $20 a day for each of the first 10 days of the trial;
(b) $60 a day for the 11th to the 49th days of the trial;
(c) $100 a day for the 50th and each succeeding day of the trial.

2 No fee is payable to a person serving on a jury panel but not selected as a juror.
3 A person referred to in section 1 is entitled to the following allowances:
(a) up to $20 per day for parking costs to attend a sitting or trial if a receipt is provided to the sheriff;
(b) if the juror uses the juror's own vehicle to travel to and from the courthouse to attend a sitting or trial and that travel is more than 32 km per day, an allowance for each kilometre travelled in excess of the 32 km at the rate, in effect when the juror is travelling, that government employees are reimbursed for business travel when using a private vehicle;
(c) up to $15 per day for taxi costs for travel to and from the courthouse to attend a sitting or trial if a receipt is provided to the sheriff;
(d) up to $10 per day for public transportation costs for travel to and from the courthouse to attend a sitting or trial;
(e) up to $50 per day per child for child care costs to attend a sitting or trial if
(i) a receipt is provided to the sheriff, and
(ii) the child care was arranged solely to attend a sitting or trial and would not otherwise have been provided.

4 In addition to the persons referred to in section 3 (1) of the Jury Act, the following are disqualified from serving as a juror:
(a) an employee of the Department of Justice or of the Solicitor General of Canada;
(b) an employee of the Ministry of Attorney General with the exception of an employee of the Liquor Distribution Branch;
(b.1) an employee of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.
