Financial Institutions Act

Insurance Compensation Plans Regulation

[includes amendments up to B.C. Reg. 83/91]

Interpretation

1   In this regulation "Act" means the Financial Institutions Act.

Designated compensation plan

2   For the purposes of section 66 (2) of the Act, the following are designated as insurance compensation plans:

(a) Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Plan, administered by the Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporation;

(b) Canadian Life and Health Insurance Compensation Plan, administered by the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Compensation Corporation.
