Fees during COVID-19 emergency

2   (1) In this section:

"COVID-19 emergency" means the emergency that is the subject of

(a) the notice provided on March 17, 2020 by the provincial health officer under section 52 (2) of the Public Health Act, and

(b) the declaration of a state of emergency made on March 18, 2020, and any extension of that declaration, under section 9 of the Emergency Program Act;

"end of the COVID-19 emergency" means the later of the following:

(a) the date on which the provincial health officer provides notice under section 59 (b) of the Public Health Act that the COVID-19 emergency has passed;

(b) the date on which the last extension of the declaration of a state of emergency, referred to in paragraph (b) of the definition of "COVID-19 emergency", expires or is cancelled.

(2) This section applies despite section 1.

(3) The fee set out in item 3 (c) (i) [issuance of number plate] of the Schedule does not apply in relation to a person who makes an application under section 6 (5) of the Commercial Transport Act before the date that is 60 days after the end of the COVID-19 emergency.

(4) The fee set out in item 3 (c) (ii) [issuance of BC Parks number plate] of the Schedule is reduced to $32 in relation to a person who makes an application under section 6 (5) of the Commercial Transport Act before the date that is 60 days after the end of the COVID-19 emergency.

(5) This section is repealed on the date that is 70 days after the end of the COVID-19 emergency.

2   (1) Repealed. [B.C. Reg. 240/2020, App. 3, s. 1 (a).]

(2) This section applies despite section 1.

(3) The fee set out in item 3 (c) (i) [issuance of number plate] of the Schedule does not apply in relation to a person who makes an application under section 6 (5) of the Commercial Transport Act on or before October 19, 2020.

(4) The fee set out in item 3 (c) (ii) [issuance of BC Parks number plate] of the Schedule is reduced to $32 in relation to a person who makes an application under section 6 (5) of the Commercial Transport Act on or before October 19, 2020.

(5) This section is repealed on October 30, 2020.

 (c)Number Plate and Duplicate Permit Fees: 
  (i)For a number plate, other than an Olympic number plate, issued under section 6 (5) of the Act18
  (ii)Subject to subparagraph (iii), for an Olympic number plate issued under section 6 (5) of the Act35
  (iii)For an Olympic number plate issued under section 6 (5) of the Act as a substitute for a number plate, other than an Olympic number plate, previously issued to the owner of the commercial vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer.35
  (iv)For each annual renewal of an Olympic number plate (not prorated)25
  (v)For a duplicate of any permit issued under the Act18

 (d)Farm Vehicle
 For each commercial vehicle known as a farm vehicle and owned by a farmer, based on net vehicle weight, an annual licence fee of:
