North American Gypsy Moth Eradication Regulation, 2018
Definitions
1 In this regulation:
"Btk" means the bacterial insecticide Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki;
"gypsy moth" means the North American gypsy moth;
"gypsy moth treatment zone" means the area within a treatment boundary outlined in heavy black on the following maps in the Schedule:
(a) the Agassiz Gypsy Moth Treatment Zone;
(b) the Campbell River Gypsy Moth Treatment Zone;
Eradication of gypsy moth
2 (1) During the period beginning April 15, 2018 and ending June 30, 2018, an inspector may enter on land in a gypsy moth treatment zone to
(a) search for and remove gypsy moth eggs, and
(b) subject to subsection (2), apply Btk.
(2) An inspector may apply Btk in a gypsy moth treatment zone only if
(a) the application is done in accordance with the Integrated Pest Management Act and its regulations, and
(b) the inspector is licensed under that Act.
(3) During the period beginning April 15, 2018 and ending November 30, 2018, an inspector may enter on land in a gypsy moth treatment zone to
(a) search for and remove gypsy moth eggs,
