Section 52 definition of "municipality" BEFORE repealed by 2000-7-205 effective January 1, 2001 (BC Reg 399/00).

"municipality" includes a regional district incorporated under the Municipal Act and a local area established as a community planning area under the Local Services Act.


Section 54(2) BEFORE changes were made by 2000-7-206 effective January 1, 2001 (BC Reg 399/00).

(2) No zoning bylaw of a municipality adopted after March 20, 1964 or rural land use bylaw, as defined in section 872 of the Local Government Act, applies to land or improvements within a radius of 800 m of the intersection of a controlled access highway with any other highway, unless the bylaw is, before its adoption, approved in writing by the minister.
