B.C. Reg. 251/2021, deposited October 1, 2021, under the PROVINCIAL SALES TAX ACT [section 240]. Order in Council 542/2021, approved and ordered October 1, 2021.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Designated Accommodation Area Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 93/2013, is amended

(a) effective November 1, 2021, as set out in the attached Appendix 1,

(b) effective January 1, 2022, as set out in the attached Appendix 2, and

— S. ROBINSON, Minister of Finance; N. SIMONS, Presiding Member of the Executive Council.

Appendix 1

1 Items 19 and 32 of Schedule 1 of the Designated Accommodation Area Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 93/2013, are amended in Column 4 by striking out "2021" in both places and substituting "2026".

2 Item 11 of Schedule 2 is amended in Column 4 by striking out "2021" and substituting "2026".

Appendix 2

1 Section 5.1 (a) of the Designated Accommodation Area Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 93/2013, is amended by striking out "Tourism Victoria" and substituting "Destination Greater Victoria".

2 Schedule 1 is amended by repealing items 5 and 38.

3 Item 23 of Schedule 1 is amended

(a) in Column 2 by striking out "Tourism Victoria" and substituting "Destination Greater Victoria", and

(b) in Column 4 by striking out "2022" and substituting "2027".

4 Schedule 2 is amended by adding the following items as indicated:

5 Section 2 of Schedule 3 is amended by striking out "Tourism Victoria" and substituting "Destination Greater Victoria".

Appendix 3

1 Item 13 of Schedule 1 of the Designated Accommodation Area Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 93/2013, is amended

(a) in Column 3 by striking out "2%" and substituting "3%", and

(b) in Column 4 by striking out "2022" and substituting "2027".
