On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Designated Accommodation Area Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 93/2013, is amended
(a) effective July 1, 2023, as set out in the attached Appendix 1, and
(b) effective November 1, 2023, as set out in the attached Appendix 2.

Appendix 1
1 The Designated Accommodation Area Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 93/2013, is amended by adding the following section:
Prescribed eligible entities
3.1 For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of "eligible entity" in section 1 of the Act, the prescribed qualifications are that an entity
(a) is a not-for-profit business association,
(b) has a place of business in a designated accommodation area, and
(c) actively engages in one or more initiatives respecting the availability of affordable housing in the designated accommodation area.
2 Schedule 2 is amended
(a) in items 8 and 14 in column 4 by striking out "2023" and substituting "2028", and
(b) by adding the following item as indicated:

Appendix 2
1 Item 27 of Schedule 1 of the Designated Accommodation Area Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 93/2013, is amended
(a) in column 2 by striking out "District of Squamish" and substituting "Tourism Squamish Society", and
(b) in column 4 by striking out "2023" and substituting "2028".
