Fossil Definition Regulation

Definition

1   For the purposes of the Land Act, "fossil" means the preserved remains, traces or imprints of organisms from the geological past, but does not include

(a) human remains or artifacts, or

(b) the following substances:

(i) limestone;

(ii) dolomite;

(iii) coal;

(iv) petroleum;

(v) natural gas.
