Exemption Regulation

Power of corporation to exempt

1   (1) The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia is empowered to exempt trailers operated by British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. from the licensing and registration requirements of the Motor Vehicle Act.

(2) An exemption under subsection (1) may be given for a trailer only if the trailer

(a) has at least the minimum third party liability insurance coverage required under the Insurance (Vehicle) Act,

(b) is operated only in and around a ferry terminal facility, and

(c) is operated in accordance with any other conditions that may be specified by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.
