Land Act; Motor Vehicle (All Terrain) Act
Whereas the use of motor vehicles and snowmobiles in the following described areas has an adverse effect on wildlife and their breeding habits:
1 Except for public officials in the discharge of their duties the use of motor vehicles and snowmobiles be prohibited, at all times, on Crown land within the following described area:
All those parcels or tracts of land situated in Lillooet District, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point, on the natural boundary of Fraser River on the right bank thereof, said point being due east of the southeast corner of Lot 1055; thence due west to the said southeast corner of Lot 1055; thence westerly along the southerly boundary of said lot 1055 and the northerly boundary of Lot 346 to the northwest corner of said Lot 346; thence due west to the natural boundary of Chilcotin River on the left bank thereof; thence in a general southeasterly direction along said natural boundary of Chilcotin River to its confluence with the aforesaid natural boundary of Fraser River on the right bank thereof; thence in a general northerly direction along said natural boundary of Fraser River to the point of commencement.
2 Except for public officials in the discharge of their duties the use of motor vehicles and snowmobiles be prohibited during the period December 1 to March 31 of each and every year on Crown land within the following described area:
All those parcels or tracts of land situated in Lillooet District, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Section 24, Township 82, being a point on the natural boundary of Fraser River on the right bank thereof; thence in a southwesterly direction in a straight line to a point on the westerly boundary of said Section 24, 660 feet south of the northwest corner of said Section, thence southerly along the westerly boundaries of said Section 24 and Sections 13 and 12 of Township 82 to the northeast corner of Block A of the southeast 1/4 of Section 11 of said Township 82; thence southwesterly along the northwesterly boundary of said Block A to the northerly boundary of Section 2 of said Township; thence westerly, southerly and easterly along the northerly, westerly and southerly boundaries of the northeast 1/4 of said Section 2 to the southeast corner of said quarter section; thence southerly along the easterly boundary of said Section 2, the westerly boundary of Lot 1, Lot 1061, Plan 25036 and the easterly boundary of Lot 2292 to the southeast corner of said Lot 2292; thence westerly, southerly and westerly along the southerly boundary of said Lot 2292 to the easterly boundary of Lot 345, thence southerly along the easterly boundary of said Lot 345, to the northeast corner of Lot 1, Lot 345, Plan 25035; thence westerly along the northerly boundary of said Lot 1 to the northwest corner thereof; thence westerly along the most northerly southerly boundary of said Lot 345 to the northeast corner of Lot 1, Lot 1063, Plan 25033; thence continuing westerly along the northerly boundary of said Lot 1 to the southeast corner of Lot 2291, thence northerly and westerly along the southerly boundary of said Lot 2291 to the southeast corner of Lot 1, Lot 44, Plan 25034, thence northerly, westerly and southerly along the easterly, northerly and westerly boundaries of said Lot 1 to the natural boundary of Chilcotin River on the left bank thereof; thence in a general southeasterly direction along said natural boundary of Chilcotin River to a point due west of the northwest corner of Lot 346; thence due east to said northwest corner of Lot 346; thence easterly along the northerly boundary of said Lot 346 and the southerly boundary of Lot 1055 to the southeast corner of said Lot 1055; thence due east to the natural boundary of the Fraser River on the right bank thereof; thence in a general northerly direction along said natural boundary of Fraser River to the aforesaid northeast corner of Section 24, Township 82, being the point of commencement.
