Definitions

1 In this regulation, "STPS" means the Stl'atl'imx Tribal Police Service.

Police (Disposal of Property) Regulation

2 The provisions of B.C. Reg. 87/91, the Police (Disposal of Property) Regulation, apply to the STPS as though each reference in B.C. Reg. 87/91 to

(a) a "commissioner" were a reference to the Chief of Police of the STPS,

(b) "provincial police force" were a reference to the STPS, and

(c) "Province" were a reference to the Band Councils of the Stl'atl'imx Nation.

Rules regarding training, certification and registration of municipal constables
appointed under section 26 of the Police Act

3 The provisions of B.C. Reg. 109/81, the Rules Regarding Training, Certification and Registration of Municipal Constables Appointed under Section 26 of the Police Act, apply to the STPS as though each reference in B.C. Reg. 109/81 to

(a) "certified municipal constable" were a reference to a certified Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer,

(b) "municipal constable" were a reference to a Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer,

(c) "eligible certified municipal constable" were a reference to an eligible certified Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer,

(d) "eligible qualified municipal constable" were a reference to an eligible qualified Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer,

(e) "chief constable" were a reference to the Chief of Police of the STPS,

(f) "qualified municipal constable" were a reference to a qualified Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer,

(g) "deputy chief constable" were a reference to the Deputy Chief of Police of the STPS,

(h) "section 26 of the Police Act" were a reference to section 4.1 of the Police Act,

(i) "municipal force" were a reference to the STPS, and

(j) "prospective municipal constable" were a reference to a prospective Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer.

Emergency Program Management Regulation

4 The provisions of B.C. Reg. 477/94, the Emergency Program Management Regulation, apply to the STPS as though each reference in B.C. Reg. 477/94 to

(a) "officer in charge" were a reference to the Chief of Police of the STPS, and

(b) "chief constable" were a reference to the Chief of Police of the STPS.

Code of Professional Conduct Regulation

5 The provisions of B.C. Reg. 205/98, the Code of Professional Conduct Regulation, apply to the STPS as though each reference in B.C. Reg. 205/98 to

(a) "chief constable" were a reference to the Chief of Police of the STPS,

(b) "municipal constable" were a reference to a Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer,

(c) "municipal police department" were a reference to the Stl'atl'imx Tribal police department, and

(d) "municipal police board" were a reference to the Stl'atl'imx Tribal police board.

Use of Force Regulation

6 The provisions of B.C. Reg. 203/98, the Use of Force Regulation, apply to the STPS as though each reference in B.C. Reg. 203/98 to

(a) "chief officer" were a reference to the Chief of Police of the STPS.

Police Act, Part 9 — Complaint Procedure

7 The provisions of Part 9 of the Police Act, the Complaint Procedure, apply to the STPS as though each reference in Part 9 of the Police Act to

(a) "municipal constable" were a reference to a Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer,

(b) "chief constable" were a reference to the Chief of Police of the STPS,

(c) "deputy chief constable" were a reference to the Deputy Chief of Police of the STPS,

(d) "municipal police department" were a reference to the Stl'atl'imx Tribal police department, and

(e) "senior constable" were a reference to a Stl'atl'imx Tribal police officer.
