Citizens' Assembly Selection Lists Regulation

Definitions

1The definitions in section 1 of the Election Act apply for the purposes of this regulation.

Use of personal information

2Personal information

(a)as defined in the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and

(b)contained in the Provincial List of Voters

may be used for a purpose described in section 3 or 4.

Use of the Provincial List of Voters

3The chief electoral officer may use the Provincial List of Voters to provide the chair of the Citizens’ Assembly with one or more selection lists for use under section 4 by the chair of the Citizens’ Assembly.

Use of a selection list

4The chair of the Citizens’ Assembly may identify and contact potential members of the Citizens’ Assembly by using a selection list received under section 3 from the chief electoral officer.
