Motor Vehicle Act

Director's Records and
Access to Records Regulation

Interpretation

1In this regulation, "Act" means the Motor Vehicle Act.

Records prescribed for section 82 (10.1) of the Act

2For the purpose of section 82 (10.1) of the Act, every record that is obtained by the director or created by the director for the purposes of sections 212 through 212.2, 216 and 217 of the Act is prescribed, including without limitation:

(a)records respecting the driving or operation, or the driving and operation, of motor vehicles;

(b)records respecting persons authorized to inspect vehicles under section 217 of the Act;

(c)records respecting facilities designated under section 217 of the Act.

Records prescribed for section 116.1 (3) (b) of the Act

3For the purpose of section 116.1 (3) (b) of the Act, electronic records kept by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia respecting drivers, vehicles and the owners of vehicles involved in collisions and the determination by the corporation of fault in those collisions, are prescribed.
